My heart ALWAYS skips a beat when I receive the email telling me that The Outnet is having their clearance sale. It is too convoluted a story to explain here, but I am eligible to shop from both the Australia AND US site – and I’m not going to lie, the US site has a far better range of clearance items on offer. However, given a majority of my readers will only be able to shop from the Australia site, the items featured in this post will ship to Australia.
When The Outnet has a sale (on top of its everyday, everything, always on sale!), it really clears its stock. Clothing, shoes and accessories are between 70% and 85% off the original retail price and at the very end of the sale, items are reduced by at least another 10%! I have snagged numerous bargains in the years I have been shopping The Outnet, including pieces by The Row, Preen by Thornton Bregazzi, Chloe, Diane von Furstenberg and Equipment. Shipping, though not inexpensive, is expeditious and tracked and everything comes neatly wrapped.
So, what is in my clearance wishlist?
Who could go past this twee Charlotte Olympia pumpkin clutch, rendered in suede and embellished with crystals? It is so fabulously kitsch and fun, you would honestly never tire of it!
Or how about these mushroom-coloured Chelsea boots by NYC label, Rag & Bone? The colour feels as if it pays homage to the uniform of our Aussie blue collar workers but that magnificent metallic tinge and leather heel strip elevates this boot to something a bit more feminine and special.
I am loving the renewed interest in asymmetric-hemmed skirts. This time round, they feel so much more sophisticated than their 90’s Tinkerbell-esque counterparts. This black crepe one by Adam Lippes would be perfect paired with strappy stilettos, a fitted white scoop-neck tee and some statement accessories.
A statement accessory like these Mimi Holliday by Damaris lace cat-ears, perhaps?
